Officer Tony Akins continues to make a positive impact on Stone Memorial High School. His work-ethic and dedication are second to none. Our school climate has been vastly improved and both students and teachers alike remark on how safe they feel with Officer Akins in the building. The other high school in our county’s SRO had to be away from work due to health concerns and Officer Akins covered during these months. Even under these circumstances, he continued to keep an active presence and demonstrate professionalism. We have all been impressed with how students have responded to Officer Akins at Stone Memorial. Students feel comfortable confiding in him and approaching him for advice both inside and outside of school. We are honored to have such a dedicated member of the force serving our school and community of Crossville, Tennessee.
